my backspace key is not working in outline

i can tab over but when I use my backspace to go up a level in outline mode,
it si deleting any outline marking.

I am frustrated bc this was working 20 minutes ago. I have tried unchecking
anad saving set tab and left indent on the auto format menu and then
resetting it but it is not working!!!!!!

any advice is appreciated, thanks

Abbi,
In Tools - Options - Genreal tab - remove the check next to the WordPerfect
options if any.
