Thanks in advance for all help. Here is my problem:
I have a cell, say A1, that has a number in it formatted as Currency.
I click on cell C1 and format it as Number.
I click on A1, copy the content, click on C1 and Paste Special>Value Only.
My number appears without currency symbol in C1.
Here is the issue: If I now hit return to complete the process, the format
of C1 changes to Currency. It shouldn't. What can I do to prevent stupid
Excel #$#!#!$ reformatting problems like this? Yes, I can use an arrow key to
move away from C1; I can also use the mouse to click on another cell. Neither
of these changes the formatting of C1 back to Currency.
This is causing other problems but this is the root cause. What is going on?
Thanks!!!
