my computer does not install updates, how do i fix it

hello, my computer does not install updates even though it downloads them.

as a result, my pc is slowing up sonsiderably and symantec anti virus does
not scan. everytime i try to scan , i get a message that says connect to the
internet to scan and when i do, it just disappears and still does not scan.
please help.

The first thing that you will need to do is to remove the Symantec product. Go to their website and find the info on how to remove it completely.This product has been and is the cause of many issues with Windows.

Secondly can you post the error per verbatim of the error that is shown on your screen when you try to Update. It would be most helpful to arrive at a answer for your issue.
