My computer will not upgrade Works 7.0 with Office 97 Professiona.

I am attempting to upgrade from Works 7.0 to Office 97 Professional edition.
However, I receive a message that states "Upgrade check - Hard disk search
failed". When I click on either C or D drive, it is unable to locate Works
7.0, and won't perform the upgrade. What do I do? My operating system is
Windows XP.

You're posting this question in a programming (developer) newsgroup, which
means you're less likely to get an answer than if you posted in a more
appropriate group. Try, for example, office.setup
