I generally try not to cut across other people's advice in here, but in this
case, I would quietly suggest that you might be heading the user off down
the wrong track.
The symptoms are those of a corrupted database, which a re-install won't
touch. So I think this suggestion cannot fix the problem.
Further: Unless you explain to the user how to perform a "remove office" he
is likely to make the situation worse. Mac Office does not have an
"uninstaller" like PC software does: you have to run the Remove Office Tool.
If you don't, things can get very corrupted.
But having successfully done a re-install, Entourage will simply pick up the
existing corrupted database on re-start, and continue crashing. Which is
why I did not suggest it.
Cheers
------------------
I have never experienced this problem before with My Day. But there are few
things you can try:
1. When you are updating your Office software or any other software, be sure
that ALL other applications are closed. This can interferer with the updates
and cause major problems such as this.
2. In your Entourage calendar, if you are looking for specific events on your
My Day list, be sure those events are marked either with, Busy, Tentative or
Out of Office. If you have them marked as Free, it will not display those
appointments.
If all else fails, try uninstalling our Office software and reinstalling it
from the CD that came with it. Though this is a time consumer, it may fix your
problem and get your software to work as it should.
Hope this helps.
