I have 3 out of 10 Microsoft Office 2008 clients which are getting
"random," or "unexpected," or "inappropriate" (as in the person who
received the meeting request has not been invited to the meeting)
meeting requests. They all seem to show up in My Day but they do not
appear on the Calendar of the receiving or sending Exchange account.
* We have seen meeting requests appear as far back as 2006.
* Meeting requests are to other accounts other than the person who
receives it. (The sending accounts are just fine.)
* These meeting requests show up in My Day. I am not sure if they
show up in Office Reminder.
* 2 of the 3 accounts having this problem were just updated from
Office 2004. 1 of them having the problem has been Office 2008 for
about 6 months.
* I have rebuilt all Office databases.
* All computers have the current version of Outlook 2008.
This really sounds like a server routing problem to me but the
Exchange Server Admins won't confirm whether their Office 2007
accounts are seeing this problem too.
Does anyone know if this is a problem with Entourage 2008 or if this
is a Exchange problem?
Does anyone know how to troubleshoot such a random problem?
