My Documents Folder

please help

I cannot find my icon based my document folder. I have a
my document folder when I click on to my computer. But I
want to change where the my document folder looks.

I have done this in the past with icon based folder, but
I cannot find this anywhere. I have also tried to change
where the folder looks, but I m unable to change the
default drectory.

If anybody out there can help me do this it would really
bew appreicated as it has become very fustrating.

In what operating system?
It is possible in Control Panel-Display, depending on your O/S.
(The default is mydocs.dll)

If you want to alter the location of My Documents then You can change
the value of Personal in the Registry in these
two keys: (ignore the second if the value is not there)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders
