I have been using Excel forever. I train my company on all aspects of the
program. Lately I have been having issues with the AutoFilter on a few
select workbooks. These workbooks are not necessarily huge (less that 2M).
Here's my Excel 2003 problem - no matter how I activate the AutoFilter...
whether I highlight an entire column, a set of data, or a row of data, the
filter does not work properly. The arrows appear… but when I try to click on
the arrows they do not "click" and no data is shown. If I close Excel and
re-open the same workbook it sometimes will allow me to filter once or twice
but then it stops working. When it stops working after I have filtered and I
unselect "AutoFilter" under the Data menu the data does not "expand" it
remains "filtered", the filter arrows disappear, and I have to unhide rows to
expand my list manually. All other aspects of the spreadsheet work properly.
It does not “lock up†it is only the AutoFilter that does not work properly.
Is that weird or what? How can I fix this?
