my fax attachment gets stripped from my e-mail.

I use a fax service to send my work from word. It worked fine for a good
year. Now it converts my image/file to a fax image and shows it in the
attachment window before I send. But when I send the attachment somehow gets
stripped from the e-mail. I get a failure to fax message back from my fax
service saying there was nothing attached. When you look in the sent folder
it is gone as well. I am able to receive and open faxes from my fax service
though.

Not sure we can help (I know MS claims this group is about fax, but it isn't
really), and I get the impression that not many of the regulars in here use
a fax service (including me), but
a. have you contacted the fax service provider for help?
b. which version of Word?
c. what procedure exactly are you going through to send the faxes? Can we
assume that they are going via Outlook? Are you mailmerging, or faxing
one-at-a-time?
d. if they are going via Outlook, are you able to
- create a .tif file of your document from Word (you may be able to do
this by "printing" to the Microsoft Office Document Imaging "printer" (MODI)
- attach it to an Outlook mesage
- send that to your fax service
e. FWIW there is a group called "microsoft.public.outlook.fax" which may be
able to help
