my floppy disc

I do not have a Macintosh

I have info saved from last semester and this semester, plus an essay that I
am presently writing. My floppy has been fine until now. It basically
states that my disc is not configured for a macintosh, which I do not have,
and Office will not let me access anything on the disc at all. I have tried
to reformat it, which is unnecessary, yet it still did not work. What do I
do?
