my 'from' field has complettely disappeared from view How to get i

Soemthing I must've touched made the entire "from" field disappear from
normal view.
I tried restoring my compuer to an earlier time. NOTHING changed,
I did it a second time for the next prior restore. Still no change

I re-installed Outlook.
Still no change.
When I sort, I can sort by "from" but I cannot see it as a column choice
across the top!

Right-click the header bar and select Field Chooser. Drag the From field
back to the header bar.
