I was just trying to do something simple: a clip art text
at the top of the page for a title. I tried every anchor
setting I could find, and of course turning off
the "anchor to paragraph" (or is it text) setting but
still my boxes jumped around whenever I alter the text.
There should be an achor to page setting that does just
that. The thing should stay there, stay put, stop dead.
But they don't they jump. My dog performs better.
My solution, for the time being, was to put the title
graphic (clip art text box) into the header. This is not
ideal since I will (indeed have) wanted to make a graphic
stay put in the middle of the page. But as a seperate area
that is not affected by changes to the text, the header is
useful.
I wonder if "overlapping" headers and footers are
possible. If so then I would have three independent fields
to play with.
