My Junk e-mail folder STILL hates me

J

Jack K.

I haven't got anything to go on yet on my issue, and so I thought I might ask
again, because the problem is still there (e-mail I send to myself ends up in
the junk folder).

This is the communication we've had aldready:

Roady --

I took my name off Katharion's white list, and that fixed the problem of the
spammer who was using my name. I feel a little foolish for not having thought
of that earlier.

But my problem remains: All e-mail I send to myself goes into the junk
folder.

I tell you, the folder hates me.

Hi Jack,

I'm not trying to ignore you; I'm just needing to think of what to do next
about your issue.
I'm not that familiar with OneCare but I think it doesn't integrate with
Outlook in terms of Junk Email filtering.

Did you install the latest updates for Outlook and thus the latest Junk
Email Filter definitions?

Could you do a test with a clean mail profile?
See http://www.howto-outlook.com/faq/newprofile.htm
Don't reconnect your old data; just use this for testing.

If you are sending yourself a message now; does it still go to the Junk
Email folder?

Hi Roady --

Sorry, I just couldn;t find the second thread I had started on this issue,
and thought it was erased.

In any case, please reassure me before I start creating a new identity:
What, besides my account details, login and password, will the process
replace? I'm in the process of reorganizing about 11 years of e-mail and I'm
terrified of losing any of it (though I have backed everything up). I'm just
paranoid -- the last time I erased a profile was my Windows login, which
erased all me personal files. It took me ages ...
