My laptop Win98SE locked up completely during an Office update a.

I was downloading updates to Office 2000 and my machine locked up completely
and now I cannot even turn it off with the power switch. Tried Ctrl/Alt/Del -
nothing.

Any ideas? HELP

My laptop requires me to hold down the power key for about 20 seconds. Can
you try that?

I finally just removed the battery and re-booted the laptop but thanks for
yoru message.
