My ldb file will not clear to allow me exclusive access to my db.

My ldb file will not clear to allow me exclusive access to my db. I have
tried everything. Using Access2000 on XP Pro, with DB on Win NT 4.0

What do you mean it will not "clear"? Do you mean you can't delete it?
If so, have you tried rebooting in "Safe Mode" and trying from there?
