My Lexmark Printer will not load since Microsoft Office loaded on

Since loading on the Microsoft Office suite, my printer cannot be
reinstalled, it comes up with the message USB not recognised. I tried
another USB, with the same result. I have two identical driver disks for the
printer but there was also a message about them not being scripted or
encrypted or some such thing, too. Can anyone help?
