My message window is missing the menu bar and standard toolbar.

My Outlook menus and toolbars are all in place, however, when I open a
message in my inbox, I am missing the menus and toolbars. I tried
right-clicking to select a toolbar from the short-cut menu, but I don't get
the correct short-cut menu...
