my microsoft word is acting up. i can't save a file

my computer freezes up when i try to save a file, as well as when i open a
file. these problems are fresh and new. i was not having these problems
before. now i cant do my work without having it crash on me.
I've tried reformating my computer in hopes the problem was overuse but the
problem persists. i dont know what to do please respond with any kind of
input available thank you.

I don't suppose you read any of the replies to any of the dozens of other
messages here reporting the same problem? See "Problems in Windows Explorer
or the Windows shell after you install security update MS06-015" at
