How do I correct the Word07 configuration? My mouse does not work withinin
the document in Word07 (running Vista). Yet it works on the menu and in other
programs.
I have a MS wheel mouse. Is there a WORD config problem??

Along with hundreds of other posts in these Newsgroups, you have undoubtedly
suffered a corrupt registry. We believe this is due to leaving Word running
when Microsoft Update kicks in.

To resolve this problem, run Regedit and navigate to the Word Data Key and
delete the whole key. Word will automatically create a new key when it is
next started.

1. Close Word.

2. On the Start menu, choose Run and type "regedit," (without the quotation
marks). This will open the Windows Registry, which (if you're not familiar
with it) has folders that are navigated just the same as folders in Windows
Explorer (My Computer).

3. In the HKEY_CURRENT_USER folder, find the Word Data key at:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data

4. The "key" will be a folder named "Data." Delete it. Word will build a new
key upon startup.
