My Mouse scroll doesn't work with excel 2007 - Jim Rech

My question has to do with checking formulas within cells. If I click in the formula bar (that has a formula already entered), Excel will put colored boxes around the cells that correspond to the colored cell references in the formula bar. In Excel 2003, I could use the mouse scroll wheel to see the location of these referenced cells (if beyond the current view). In Excel 2007, I can't scroll like this with the wheel, I have to click on the scroll bar.

Enabling the 'Allow editing directly in cells' option doesn't seem to make a difference in this case. Any suggestions on how to enable the mouse wheel for this purpose? Any VBA that could fix this?

Hi,

This is the intended behavior in 2007. Because the Formula bar can have
multiple lines, the scroll wheel move you through those lines when the
formula bar is collapsed.
