I recently added a new mouse and am having the same problem.
I came across this article while looking for a solution. I
haven't had a chance to try it yet, but you may want to see
if it helps you: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;837910
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! It works!
I've looked for a solution for a long time and never saw that article. What
a pleasure to have it back!

I have a suspicion that method 2 will lose some of my new
mouse's features such as Tilt Wheel, side buttons and
fingerprint recognition so I was trying to use method 1. I
guess I'm missing something, because I can't get Access (any
version) to recognize the DLL as an AddIn.
If you used method 1, please explain what you did to
integrate it with Access.
I did use method 1. The included .reg file sets
"LoadBehavior"=dword:00000000. I changed that to a 1, which I guessed is the
setting to auto-load the add-in whenever Access starts. The other way to do
that is with the Add-Ins >>Add-In Manager from within the Access VBA editor.

Changing LoadBehavior wasn't sufficient. However, using the
AddIns item in VBE allowed me to check the needed options.
That takes care of A2002 and A2003, but I'm still trying to
get it to work for A97 though.
