My MS Word 2000 will no longer save new files. Can anyone help?

I have MS Word 2000 that was working perfectly yesterday. Today the
application will not allow me to save any new files (save as). Has anyone
else ever run into this problem? How did you resolve it?

Go to the email from PW dated 4/19/2006 beginning "Your latest updates have
fouled up my com.... and vote 'I agree', maybe we'll wake somebody up at MS
