My notes are all deleted

Dear Community:

I'm in Law School & desperate for some help. I have a notebook set up for
each class. Today while taking notes, i added a new section within one of my
notebooks. Now all of my notebooks are completely empty. Every last one of
them. I'm sick. Can anyone help? I barely know how to use OneNote.

Thanks

Whew. I tried to re-open them (for the third time) and all of the info was
there. I dodged a bullet!

Really bad. :-( :-(
And really strange ...

How about using the Backups?

By default ON makes backups every other day (the frequency can be set
under "
Tools | Options").
So you would at least not loose more than just 1 day's work (which may
be bad enough).

P.S. Did you check the default directory for the notebook storage?

GREAT!!
Thanks for reporting back.

For the future pls respect the following:

1.) Different to "normal" applications with ON one never works with the
"normal" way of closing and re-opening files. One just leaves all of the
notebooks open all of the time and just closes ON.

2.) ON makes backups automatically.
The frequency of backups can be set via "Tools | Options"

3.) When working with notebooks on more than just one computer (a laptop
and a desktop, f.e.) special rules are applicable.

4.) The same if one carries the notebooks around with a
USB-stick/Flash-drive.

If any info on the above issues needed, pls ask.

Rainald
