My Office 2007 Word automatically shuts down.

I purchased Office 2007 ten days ago, and once I installed and began working
in Word, after a short periond of inactivity a window will appear saying
that Word has a problem and has to shut down. I then have to call up my
documents and go through the SAVE procedure. Is there a remedy for this?
Very annoying.
