My office outlook 2007 will not launch?

I have a brand new computer that uses Vista as the op system. Until today I
have not had any problems, but suddenly without any warning, outlook 2007
will not launch when I click on it. The circle spins and then it simply stops
without opening the program. Please help?

State how you configured and used Outlook in the first place. Look for error
messages. Examine Event viewer.
Try to recall what was changed before the problem arose since these things
do not happen all by themselves for no reason. There must be more to this
story.

I really have no idea what happened. My son installed the office suite. I
don't use outlook as my mail server. I use Microsoft mail for that. I use
outlook for calendars, tasks and contacts only.

The program worked fine until around 3PM to day when it would not open and
when checking the event viewer I found this notation: <Event

Seems to me you might want to try what the error message suggested.
