My Office Update Keeps failing

I have just installed Office 2003 from a newly purchased retail CD (Student & Teacher Edition).

However, can not seem to use the Office update website. My repeated attempts to update have been unsuccessful.

By reading the NewsGroup it appears that I need the update since I have several PowerPoint files that I can open using Office 2000 but not using Office 2003.
