My One Note Request

Ok, I have been searching and searching around looking for some sort of
hack that would place oneNote directly into the outlook navigation
panes. What is the purpose of having both oneNote and the silly sticky
notes in Outlook? This would be the BEST feature in my opinion. That
and linking new notes to tasks in some fashion.

Interesting concept, Scott. The only downside is that Outlook is
already a pretty huge application as it is, so adding much more to it
may make it collapse under its own weight. ;-) My present Outlook 2003
configuration has the full Outlook package, plus a couple of add-ins
from MAPIlab (www.mapilab.com) to weed out duplicate records and emails,
and the intraVnews RSS aggregator tool (see www.intravnews.com for
details). With all that in place, Outlook is pretty well at its limits,
at least in my case.

Presently, I don't even use the Outlook notes at all, other than some
little items I keep handy on my PocketPC, and most of THAT is now in
eWallet (a PocketPC and Windows app that keeps info in a more-or-less
secure data file). But with the Outlook-to-OneNote powertoy, I can
pretty much send anything I want over to OneNote, and I can use the
connectivity between OneNote and Outlook to send OneNote data via email
through Outlook. It works pretty well for me so far.
