My Outlook 2007 rule isn't working

Hi group,

I created a rule and the last part of it isn't working. I'm using Outlook
2007 on Windows XP.

My rule is - when it is received, move it to folder X and mark it as read.

The mail is being sorted into the folder just fine, but it is not being
marked as read. Is there anything I can do?

No, I have several more rules for filtering mail into different folders, but
they don't filter for this particular email. What I'm doing is filtering
emails from a recipe site as they come in. Could another rule be interfering
with that rule? I built it with the rule wizard, so I expect it to work.

When more than one rule applies to a message, you can get side efects. Add
the "stop processing more rules" action to the misbehaving rule and see if it
changes the behavior.
