My Outlook crashes after backup of PST

I'm running a new laptop w Vista/Office 2007. I recently copied both current
and archive pst files to external HD but of course let original pst files
remain in default location. Was first unable to copy current PST since I
forgot to close down OL, but after doing that all went well.
Now, my OL started to act funny:
Mail and Notes operate normally.
ToDo:s appear all in duplicates, even new enters come up in duplicate quite
automatically.
Worst of all, my calender won't open. When I try OL crashes!!
WHAT SHALL I DO? someone please advice !

Run the repair tool, scanpste.exe on the data files (with OL closed)

Thx DL, you're always good help! Where do I find that file, I made a search
over my entire PC, in vain. Also tried to locate on Microsoft.com/office.

Its probably a hidden file, I'm unsure of its location under Vista/OL2007
