my outlook deletes mail befroe I can open it

[laptop problems with outlook]

I have outlook on both my desktop and my laptop. I was using the laptop
yesterday and when I opened outlook and downloaded my mail (clicked
send/receive) the mail downloaded and immediately started to be deleted. The
mail was not in the deleted mailbox or in the spam folder. I think something
is deleting it but I don't know what is wrong. Any suggestions?

Uncheck "Leave copy of message on server" in the account Advanced settings.
These are probably messages that have *already* been received once before,
but still exist on your server.

Otherwise, to just take a look around your mailbox for anything unusual...
go to http://www.mail2web.com. You can browse any existing email and read,
delete as desired - it's free.

Also, try disabling any email AV software, just in case.
