my outlook email will not work

My email account is with network solutions, and I am unable to get outlook to
recognize it-any suggestions?

My condolences.

To recognize what? You have a domain hosted with Network Solutions. It most
likely has the proper DNS entries and is most likely hosting email on a
server with a name mail.yourdomain.com.
When you enter mail.yourdomain.com in the incoming email server setting is
it resolved?

I'm giving it a WAG here without more information.
