My Outlook won't work

How is it that I installed all of the Office Suite, yet Outlook won't work,
says file not found. Meanwhile, Word, Excel, PP Viewer and Outlook Express
all work fine? Any ideas? I no longer have the disc, but I do have the CD
Key still (lost the actual disk!) If anyone could help, I would appreciate
it. Would make my work life a lot easier!

What version of Office did you install?? What is the exact error message that is shown to you. How did you lose the install CD just after installing ???

Sorry, should have clarified. I installed it probably 10 months or so ago.
Error message is "Unable to open your default e-mail folders. The file
c:\documentsandsettings\compaq_owner\Local settings\application
data\microsoft\outlook\outlook2.pst could not be found"

Look at the same location if there is another PST file. If so, open the
Mail applet from the Control Panel, then specify the correct PST file.

If there is no PST file there at all, do a search for *.PST - enable
hidden files before starting your search. Post back what you found.

You still haven't told us your Office/Outlook version.

To be honest, I don't know what version it is. I can't get it to pull up
long enough. I am searching for the *.PST files as we speak though.

If you open Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs, you will find the
version under the Microsoft Office / Outlook entry.

MS XP Small Business. Can't find ANYthing on my computer that has *.PST or
just .PST, I searched both ways.

PST files may be hidden files; check 'Show hidden files and folders'
(Windows Explorer; Tools | Folder Options | tab View | Advanced Settings).
