My photos don't upload to the internet

In Frontpg to insert new pics I just clicked on insert picture and it appears
on my local version of my website page but when I transfer it back up to the
internet there are just crosses where my pics should be. What have I done
wrong? They are just jpg pics, not too big. I'm new to this.

Have you published the changed files? (File > Publish web) then choose the
button (lower right hand corner) "Publish changed pages" (or similarly
worded). This should transfer all html files and images.

Always File Import the images into your FP Web/Site Before you insert the images into a page

Avoid using the function to publish/upload individual file, as this will not upload any files
reference in the files being uploaded. Use the File Menu | Publish Web / Site option and select the
Change Pages Only option.

Did you IMPORT your photos into the site (images file) before inserting them
onto a page? Be sure to do that! Read many previous posts.

A little tip on "importing files" that I haven't seen mentioned.

You don't have to use FILE > IMPORT, you can also drag files from a
local folder directly into your FP web.

With FP open go to Folder View, make sure the destination folder is
visible. Open My Computer or Windows Explorer, locate your files, mark
them, drag them to the task bar over FP, then drop them in the desired
FP web folder.

That is same as importing, just quicker.

Yep, saves a couple of clicks. Those saved clicks add up over time,
leave something in your will for the kids ya know... <G>
