my product key will not work

My product key for Word 07 will not work. When I type it in it says that it
is incorrect, but on the bottom of my laptop it says microsoft product key &
lists it.

The product key on the bottom of your laptop is for Windows, not for
Office. If you have a trial version of Office 2007 that came with a new
laptop computer, then the product key is probably printed on a small
piece of paper somewhere in the documentation that came with your
laptop. If you purchased a retail version of Office 2007, then the
product key is on a sticker in the Office 2007 clamshell case.
