My Projects category

How exactly does does the My Projects category know which are my projects.
When creating a custom category, do I have that capability? In other words,
if I choose the exact same permissions settings in a custom category as those
in My Projects, could I reproduce My Projects exactly?

Thanks!

In essence, the default settings in the My Projects cateory allow Project
Serer to automatically determine that a project is "your" project if it
meets one of the following critieria:

1. It is a project managed by you
2. It is a project in which you are a team member
3. It is a project in which your resources are assigned (as defined by your
RBS outline code structure)

When creating a new custom Category, you can control which projects which
users can see by selecting one of the two options at the top of the dialog,
selecting specfic projects from the list of projects, or selecting any of
the four checkboxes at the bottom of the Projects section. To answer your
last question, yes. Hope this helps.
