My .pst file disappeared in outlook 2007

My .pst file has dissappeared from Outlook 2007 using Vista operating system.
I am missing my entire address book and my recent email and calendar updates
have dissappeared. Also, my recent 'read' emails now appear 'unread'. I
have followed Microsofts instructions (searched *.pst) to locate my .pst file
and it came up empty. I do have a blackberry, but did not synchronize
recently. All this happened while using the computer. I tried restarting,
but the problem is still there. Desperate for HELP!

Also, the product code for my Microsoft Office Pro 2007 is not recognized by
microsoft support web site so I can't get help there. AND, of course I can't
figure out how to get through the microsoft support calling center for help.

When you did the search for the .pst file, did you instruct the search
feature to search for hidden files?

I didn't look for hidden files at first, but following your note, when I
finally figured out where the 'search folder' ie. for the advanced search,
was I searched all hidden files on 'computer' using *.pst. The file does not
appear to be there. I did download a public calendar yesterday. Could that
have caused a problem? The process seemed to have gone just fine i.e. all
the entries on my calendar. Subsequent edits to these entries (changed color
of display and modified end date) also seemed just fine. These are the
instructions I followed for the calendar download:
Download 2009/10 schedule for Outlook without Infuzer
1. Right-click here and choose "save target as" or "save link as"

2. Choose 'Save' and save to your desktop.
3. From Outlook, select 'File > Import and Export'.
4. Click 'Import from another program or file'.
5. Click file type 'Comma Separated Values (Windows)'
6. Click 'Next'.
7. Choose 'Calendar' as the destination folder.
8. Locate the downloaded file and click 'Next'.
9. Install any necessary updates if prompted
10. Click on 'Finish' to complete the import process.
11. Some versions of Outlook will require you to choose which fields you'd
like to import. In that case, drag and drop desired field names from the left
side of the pop-up menu to the right side.
12. Handheld PCs, such as those running the Palm or the Windows CE operating
systems, just need to synchronize their updated Outlook calendar with their
devices to have the schedule added to their handheld.

If your PST file is lost or say disappeared, then locate and recover it using File Recovery software http://www.filerecoverysoftware.net/. This recovers all the lost and deleted file folder from Vista OS.
