my screen jumps to the top when typing

somehow, my options must have been changed.

When I am typing in Outlook Mail, the cursor jumps to the top of the screen
instead of scrolling down as I continue to type...
For example, if my "box" I am typing in reaches the bottom , instead of
scrolling down a few lines, it jumps to the top, causing me to scroll up, and
bring the cursor back down again.

For a longer letter, this gets very old

If you are using a laptop, yet tried disabling the touchpad?
