My Send/Receive button on toolbar isn't working. How do I re-set.

My Send/Receive button on toolbar isn't working because there isn't a
send/receive - complete notification seen in the status bar at the bottom.
How do I re-set to manually receive e-mails and show this?

What version of Outlook are you using? Do you have messages in your Outbox
waiting to be sent? When did it stop working?

I have Office XP - Outlook. I can still send & receive e-mails automatically
but the send/receive button isn't repsonding nor is the verbage shown in the
status bar at the bottom right corner of the page after I click on the
send/receive button in the top tool bar. Stopped working yesterday a.m....

Not sure I understand! Where should should I go to click on "show or hide
original message or reply text?" Can't identify location

Ben,
The Norton Spam Blocker had been eroneously turned on which shut down the
send/receive button! Thanks for your help...
