my sent email does not appear in my email box

when i sent or reply or forward emails, they are sent but not saved in the
sent items emails. When I make a search on a forward email, I find all sent
emails related to this subject but they are not saved on the Sent Items.
I uncheck the option "in folders other than inbox, save replies with
original message". i checked in message handling "save copies of messages on
reply or forward". I switched "Filter" to Off.
More amazing is that all my faxes that I have sent through the software
"Winfax 10.2" are not saved in the Send Log, but well sent.
I did not have this problem before and this has occurred to me only today
and get no more sent email or sent fax saved in my files.
Anybody can help

Check the following
Go to your Inbox
Click Tools-Options on the menu.
Click Preferences
Click E-mail Options
Make sure that "Save copies of messages in Sent Items folder" is ticked.

BUT THE OPTION YOU INDICATED TO ME IS ALREADY TICKED. AND IT DOES NOT WORK.
AS PREVIOUSLY SAID, ALL MY SENT EMAILS WHICH WERE SENT FROM TODAY 12H00 TILL
NOW DO NOT APPEAR IN THE SENT ITEMS FOLDER. BUT WHEN I GO TO AN ORIGINAL
EMAIL WHICH HAS BEEN FORWARDED AND LOOK FOR THE RELATED EMAIL THROUGH ADVANCE
SEARCH I FIND ALL MY SENT EMAILS AND THEY ARE INDICATED AS SAVED IN THE SENT
ITEMS FOLDER BUT THEY DO NOT APPEAR IN THE SENT ITEM FOLDER.
AS RECOMMANDED BY OTHER HELPER, I HAVE UNTICKED THE OPTION “IN FOLDERS OTHER
THAN INBOX, SAVE REPLIES WITH ORIGINAL MESSAGE†THAT ONE GET BY
TOOLS/OPTION/PREFERENCES/EMAIL OPTION/MESSAGE HANDLING/OPEN THE PREVIOUS
ITEM/ADVANCED EMAIL OPTION/SAVE MESSAGES.
CURIOUSLY, I RUN THE WINFAX10.2 WHICH A FAX SOFTWARE. ALSO ALL SENT FAX ARE
REALLY SENT BUT THEY DO NOT APPEAR IN THE SEND LOG.

The other possibility is that the Sent Items has a filtered view applied to
it. This would mean that the e-mails are there but are not showing up
because the view is filtering them out.

Go to your Sent Items folder.
Right click on one of the column headings (e.g. From)
Click Customize Current View

Are there any settings on that screen which are causing the the e-mails to
now show.

Also check the sorting of the Sent Items folder.
Click on the Sent column heading to sort by Sent date and time.

Thanks a lot for your help. I found the stupid solution but not yours.
On the desktop, I wanted to see which day corresponded to 28/06/2006 so I
manipulated 28/06/2008 but forgot to set it back to today's date 28/09/2006.
So all my sent emails ans also sent faxes were saved on this date of
28/06/2006. That is why I could not see them but could not find them with
advanced search. I noticed that on my desktop the today's date was 28/06/2006
and I changed it to 28/09/2006. Then I tried to send test by email and fax
and everything worked as before.
I checked sent emails and also sent faxes on the date of 28/06/2006 and I
found all of them.
Stupid but true

Lose the capslock. You're shouting.
If Advanced Find says they're in Sent Items, then that's where they are. It
sounds to me like you may have a view on that folder that is hiding them.
Try resetting the view to its defaults.

Any problems you are having with WinFax Pro will have to be addressed by
Symantec.

TRY THIS:
make a new folder ie."old sent" and place all past 'sent' emails in there OR
save them somewhere else...
(close outlook)
Tools --> Option --> Maintenance see: Store Folder (delete sent file)
(open outlook) try sending yourself a message, it should show all new sent
messages now...

this worked for me
