In Visio 2003, is there a way to change or prevent Visio from creating the
\My Documents\My Shapes directory?

Many of these programs want to create directories under My Documents without
asking. In many cases, I wish to file them in another location more suitable
to the way I work.

In Visio, I can not find the setting where it creates this directory, or how
to change it. Any help would be appreciated.

menu Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> File Paths
and put the path in the Stencils section. Separate multiple paths with
a ';'.
My Shapes will still be created and scanned though.
