My Task and Generic resource problem

I have encountered an issue with Generic Resoruces that requires some guidance.

Background:

1.We migrated some projects from 2003 to 2007 (2003 did not have WSS sites)

2.Migration was successful but on some of the projects we had to change the
status manager option (found info on this forum re: Status Manager).

Issue post migration:

1.After migrating projects by Administrator most of these projects had to
change status manager to the project owner

2.After changing any tasks assigned to generic resources that is in the root
of RBS (i.e ROOT is ABC Company) is coming to the My Tasks page of the
Administrator of the Project Server. (example of Generic Vendor.ABC Company)

3.Project Server admin is also a resource for actual projects.

Need resolution for:

I need to stop all Generics resources assignments that are part of root (i.e
Vendor.ABC Company) to not appear in the Project server Admin My Tasks page.
Proejct Server admin should only have actual assigments in my Tasks Page not
Genric resoruce assignments.

Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

What you are seeing is the default behavior of Project Server 2007. To work
around this, you will need to add the Publish field to any task View in
Microsoft Project 2007 and select the No value in the field for any task to
which a Generic resource is assigned. And by the way, the issue is caused
by using a Generic resource of any type. It has nothing to do with the RBS
value for the resource. Hope this helps.
