Hello Dolfi. I have seen this behaviour a few times also and it was always
solved by ensuring the page is not cahced (press ctrl + F5 to get the latest
version of the page in your browser) or by removing and re-adding the active
x components on your machine as it seems you have attempted. When you do
this, ensure you have sufficient permission to do so. The following is a
quick step by step reference:
Remove and add active X components in Internet Explorer
Please note this procedure is to be applied to all project server client web
browsers with active X issues.
1. Open Internet Explorer. From the top right menu, select Tools>Manage
Add-ons>Enable or Disable Add-ons
2. Select ‘Downloaded ActiveX Controls (32-bit)’ from the Show dropdown
list. Click on both ‘PJ12enuC Class’ and click the delete button. Repeat the
same step for ‘PjAdoInfo4 Class’ and click ‘OK’ to close the dialogue box
3. Navigate to PWA (
http://SERVERNAME/PWA ) and click on the ‘Project
Centre’ link on the quick launch menu on the left side of the screen. This
will prompt you to re-install the Active X components. Click the prompted
link to do so. Please note you will require sufficient permissions to do
this.
4. Click Install for both prompts and this will install and complete the
active X component installation.
If this is still an issue, check you tools>internet options>Security
settings of your browser allow active x components to run. Last resort, try
logging onto someone else PC who can access my tasks and see what happens.
Hopefully this will get you up and running again.
