My Task Page Custom Fields

Hello, I have created a custom task field that our project managers
populate when creating the plan in Project Professional 2007.
However, when you open My Tasks to view the tasks assigned the
popluated data did not come over into the custom field. I can enter
data into the custom field within My Tasks page , but when you save
and submit nothing happens with the data you entered. So my
expereince to date is custom fields within My Tasks or My Timesheet
does not provide much value. We have Sp1 installed.

Has anyone else seen this...? Or has a workaround...?

Navigate to the Custom Fields and Lookup Tables page in PWA. Click the name
of the custom Task field you created to edit it. Did you select the "Roll
down, unless manually specified" option? If not, you need to do this to get
the values to show up on the My Tasks page. Let us know what you find.
