My Task -

Scenario
The task is complete and is not showing up in the member's My Task as it is
100% complete. He worked few extra hours on the same task and now wants to
update his time under the same task, how does he do? What does the PM needs
to do ?

The PM doesn't need to do anything. Instead, the team members news to click
the Settings pick list button and to select the View Options item on the
list. In the expanded View Options pane, the team member should deselect
the "Show Only Current Tasks" option and click the Apply button. If the
task in question does not reappear, the team member should navigate to the
Home page in PWA and then click the My Tasks link in the Quick Launch menu
to totally refresh the My Tasks page. From there, the team member can add
the extra work hours on the task and submit the progress to the PM.

My only question for you is how can a team member declare a task to be100%
complete one week and then declare it is not done during a later week?
What's up with that? Just asking. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information Dale, It helped.
There is a confusion regarding the Work hours and Actual Hours thats why i
am saying it a Completed Task.
Lets Suppose i assign a task with estimated 3 hrs. Resource work on it, took
4 hrs to complete it, when he updates the actual hours, the work hours also
changes to 4 hours. Now the Progress column shows the task is 100% and that
gives the impression that the task is completed. Thats what i was refering
to, sory for the confusion.
Please see the post, can you please elaborate on the comments from Gary

I think your organization needs to add the Remaining Work field to the My
Tasks page. This way a team member can use that field to indicate whether
they have any work left to do on a task, even if their Actual Work exceeds
the planned Work on the task. Hope this helps.
