My templates directory option doesn't work properly!

R

Roger Ottaway

I have recently upgraded to Word2002SP-2. We have all of our templates in a
directory called OurOffice/templates and I have changed the Word2002 files,
options, file locations option so that OurOffice/templates is the location
for the both user templates and the workgroup templates.

The trouble is with Word2002, it doesn't work properly. I get our office
templates okay, but also tabs for legal pleadings, letters & faxes, mail
merge, memos, reports, and some other things we don't use and don't want. I
can't find these folders anywhere, and can't figure out how to get rid of
them. Can someone help me, please ?

In desperation . Roger

The default templates cannot be removed simply by deleting them. They must
be uninstalled, by re-running the application setup from Windows Control
Panel > add/remove programs and deselecting the ones you don't want.
