The Search function on the Microsoft webpage is broken; I've never been able
to get it to work.
What you can do instead is use a competitor's product: http://groups.google.com. Use Advanced Search to search for your posts, e.g.
searching for (e-mail address removed) in the From line.
The Microsoft online user interface that you're using has had several
problems lately and no one is falling all over themselves to get them fixed.
It never, by the way, had the kind of filtering that a good newsreader
provides. Outlook Express, which comes/came free with most versions of
Internet Explorer has newsreading capabilities. These "microsoft.public"
newsgroups are available from a free news server at news.microsoft.com.
Outlook Express is gone, though, with the advent of Vista. Windows Mail is
the Vista equivalent, which is what I'm using. I believe that for Windows 7
you have to use Windows Live Mail; I think it has similar newsgroup support.
