My WEB Page Crashes Explorer 6.0 SP2

Hi,

I moved my WEB page:

www.cwctech.com to QWEST as my Internet Host.

Now it seems to crash Explorer. Not when you go to the home page, after you
browse some number of additional pages. The same index, html files etc.
caused no issues when it was hosted at another Host Site.

The WEB pages were created with Publisher 2003 SP1

Any ideas?

Regards,

Scott

This is a very rare issue, but a known one, that has been under investigation
for some time. But it's been difficult to repro and test for. I haven't had
success in getting customer files for testing. The last time it was discussed
it was agreed that we'd be curious to see if it continued with IE 7. I can
now answer that, as I did just repro your crash in IE 7 beta 1. You can be a
big help in moving the investigation forward if you can send me your pub file
as well as answer some questions...
- what server platform and version was the site hosted on previously?
- was frontpage server extensions installed?
- did you publish in ftp or http?
- what server platform and version is it hosted on now?
- are frontpage server extensions installed?
- did you publish in ftp or http?
- were you at SP1 when you loaded the previous site?
- do you have any html code fragments in the web publication?
- are you publishing thru Publisher or thru a 3rd party tool?

if you can send your pub file in for our testing then address it to the
email address shown at the very bottom of my page at www.davidbartosik.com

David,

I will send you the pub file. Give me a day or two as I am beyond busy right
now. ;)

The previous hosting site was using Server 2000.

I am not sure what QWEST (The new Web Host) uses for it’s ISP hosts.

I may try and import the HTML into Front Page 2003 as this is the program
that I will be moving into the future. (Yes this may mean rebuilding the site
from scratch in FrontPage, as I have read the threads stating that importing
a Pub file into FrontPage is a bad idea.)

Thanks and regards,

Scott
