My Word 2003 will no longer open, it freezes, any thoughts.

My Word 2003 will not open. It freezes. I have uninstalled and installed
it. The computer is clean of any virus problems. The registry is clean. I
have not been able to use it for 2 months and I have tried everything I know,
it just freezes whenever I open it.

My WinWord 2002 when opening a saved document on file gives the following
prompt:

The document caused a serious error the last time it was opened....:
Should I get Word 2003. If so, where can I get a cheap OEM CD off the
internet? Please respond to (e-mail address removed) Thanks,
