My Word 2007 Files wont open from any Doc Folder or Desktop shortc

Hi Can I impose please? I can no longer open ANY word file from My Documents
Folder or any Desktop Shortcut?
My Office 2007 is the "Standard Only" Version the MS Word Frame comes up?
but there is no Document or File in the Frame' its blank just Taskbars and
Ruler?

All the Buttons or Icons in The word Taskbar and QAT are Dead Except the
MSWord Blob Button "top left corner of Home View" But when I open that I have
no Doc List or Print Or Save to they are all anything it is all dead" except
for "NEW"
Starting to wish I had never Purchased Office 2007 Can you help please? Dasha

If you do create a new file or open an existing one, then does Word work
correctly? If so, see this article:
