My Word 98 doesn't recognize Postscript fonts

For whatever reason, I can't add Postscript fonts to Word
98. The application simply won't recognize them. Truetype,
no problem. Postscript: bit map.

Anyone have an idea as to why this is happening? Is there a
simple, but not obvous (to me), solution to the problem. Help!

What about other applications? How did you go about adding your Type 1 fonts
into the operating system? Do all your Type 1 fonts have corresponding .pfm
files?
